Description:
Music director, Michael Gibson leads the orchestra and combined choirs in
"Star Spangled Bonanza."
This will be a dazzling show beginning with the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office Honor Guard
marching in the flags with the orchestra and combined choirs performing the "Star Spangled Banner" followed by The
Honorable Nicholas P Jellins, Council Member and former Mayor of Menlo Park.
After a beautiful rendition of Yesterday by Lennon/McCartney played by Los Trombones, the orchestra performs Amadeus Mozart's Piano
Concerto No. 22 in E-flat Major, K.V. 482 (from the movie Amadeus) with featured soloist, Susan D Williams.
After Intermission, Night on Bald Mountain by Moussorgsky grabs your complete attention. Relax while the soothing Pavane by Gabriel Fauré
(sung in French) puts you into a dream state. Thrill to the exciting, pounding rhythms and beautiful love themes from the Polovetsian Dances from "Prince Igor" by
Borodine with the MASS chorus, and finally, join in singing the "Battle Hymn of the Republic"
complete with Honor Guard, spotlights, and red, white and blue stage lights. Be there, and help America at the same time!!!
