Michael Paul Gibson is one of the most versatile, experienced, and exciting
conductors in the Bay Area. Whether it’s as conductor of Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Concert Chorus, Church Choir, Symphonic Wind Ensemble,
Chamber Ensemble, Musical Theater, or Ballet Pit Orchestra - or in the visual arena: video production, photography - or in business: web site design,
marketing, fund raising, musical contracting, sound recording and mastering, and video editing, Michael has shown that his energetic and charismatic
leadership garners great respect and reviews from critics, audiences, musicians, colleagues, and clients alike.
Gibson demonstrates success in every venture. The Silicon Valley Symphony, his
current adventure, attracts full-house audiences and major newspaper articles. His recordings and videos speak for themselves. The SVS will be performing the
Nutcracker Ballet in collaboration with the San José Dance Theatre this December 2009 in the Center for the Performing Arts in downtown San José.
His performance of Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony with the Foothill Orchestra on
June 11, 1999 has garnered high praise from Dr. Camilla Kolchinsky, Music Director of the El Camino Youth Symphony, Lee Actor, Composer and Associate
Conductor of the Palo Alto Philharmonic, Keith Kreitman, Music Critic for the San Mateo, Times newspaper, and many other musicians in the bay area.

The Presbyterian Church of Los Gatos, where
Gibson was Music Director for the past five years, has recently eliminated his position as of 30Jun09, due to economic considerations. You can see and hear many recordings from
his tenure there, including the SVS symphony and many Opera stars of San José on this website.
