"Bryce will be an excellent addition to our Board of Directors," according to Michael Gibson, the president and music director of the Bay Area Little Symphony. "His background as a musician, teacher, and successful businessperson will help our organization continue to offer free concerts to school groups throughout the entire Bay Area."
The Bay Area Little Symphony was founded in 1975 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. It has received grants from companies and foundations such as Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Clorox Corporation, the Alameda County Art Commission, Bay View Federal Savings, the California Arts Council, the Bernard Osher Foundation, and the American Federation of Musicians, and has also received numerous private donations. During the next few months, the Bay Area Little Symphony will be sponsoring concerts and master classes at several schools in San Mateo and Palo Alto. The organization continues to sponsor the Mentor Program for the Foothill Orchestra, at Foothill College, a program that blends the playing and teaching talents of professional musicians with the members of this community orchestra.
